LUMAS & Karolina Modig on collecting art

  • Lumas 16 Sturegatan Stockholm, Stockholms län, 114 36 Sweden (map)

This month we are focusing on the more commercial side of art. Namely the collecting thereof. The international art photography gallery LUMAS has invited us to their space, both to look at some of their fantastic art photography - but also to meet with journalist and author Karolina Modig. She is just releasing her book Häng Konsten Lågt about how she became an art collector with only 50 000 SEK as a starting budget and how to train your eye for art. Karolina will share some of her findings on collecting art and we will have time to explore the current artwork on display in the gallery. See you there!

I always hang my pictures quite low in order to make you approach the pictures with your stomach rather than with your eyes.

About Häng Konsten Lågt
